2009 Forecast
“2009 is clearly going to be a difficult year for business, and the trend for restricted investment in IT which began in '08 is bound to continue. For those organisations that do have the funds to invest in new technology, however, this year could represent the golden opportunity to gain position in the market place, bring in new systems and ideas to leapfrog the competition, streamline services and make efficiencies - thus positioning themselves to take maximum advantage once the world's economies recover and consumer spending rises.
The Government and Not-for-Profit sectors remain strong at this point; they to have the opportunity to use the time to reinforce good practice and to make the correct strategic investments in technology.
Technology remains the key to unlocking efficiency and reducing costs within business.”
